MOC

"MOCs", or Maps of Content, as I understand them, are basically just a note that provides one map of places to visit in a Zettelkasten.

For example:

You can think of them kind of like a folder of notes, because they organize a bunch of other notes into one category, but unlike a folder they don't require a note to only be in one place. (see: Folders V.S Tagging V.S Graphs V.S. MOCs)

Just like there can be different maps of the same territory, there can be multiple MOCs mapping the same notes in different ways. They are kind of like a tagging system in that way, but more explicit.

I mostly use them as a little more structured way of traversing my notes from the index.
