Midterm memory
Slack is an organization's "short term" memory, often wiki's like Notion act more like a ultra-long term memory. Basecamp is kind of in-between. It's a sort of "Midterm memory". What do I mean by that?
Well I've experienced how you can find anything in Basecamp instantly, and I think the reason is because of how
Organizations really need a "mid-term memory". This is information that moves slowly, but not too slowly.
- Chats: Gone in a day
- Documenation: lasts forever (hard to organize)
