The Second Brain - A Life-Changing Productivity System

Ideas:
- Borrowed creativity: creativity is about mixing stuff up that
- Capture Ideas: Are brains are for having ideas, not storing them
- Idea Recycling: Ideas can be re-used in different contexts
- Projects over categories: Don't do folders that are in broad categories, but in a project category, a thing you'll build on
- Slow Burns: Heavy Lift (herculean effort: go to a cabin in the woods), Slow Burns: lots of work in pieces that you can put together easily.
- Start with abundance: Blank pages don't work, if you've collected a bunch of stuff you're always starting from stuff in your second brain.
- Intermediate Packets: And Essays are made of lots of little 5-8 "packets" (paragraph) of knowledge. These are reusable and it's easier to just get it done.
- Only know what you make: You can consume all you want, but you have to reword things yourself and summarize.
- Make it easier on your future self: Don't assume you'll know what you meant, you need to make the note stand on it's own.
- Keep your ideas moving: Don't try to make your "perfect system", just make sure you use it. Imperfection is prefect if you're using it.
