Roadmaps are a bit problematic because they order all the projects you're going to do along a linear timeline. This creates premature commitment to projects that often leads to anger and disappointment when they don't work out. Either that, or they lock the development team into a long term commitment that they are bound to do despite it not being the most important thing.
