Guilt of Backlogs

Itā€™s unbelievable how often the word ā€œguiltā€ comes up when talking to people who do issue-based, reactive work.

Thereā€™s more work than time, the work comes from other people, and itā€™s hard to ignore it, delete it, or say ā€˜no.ā€™

Long lists or backlogs arenā€™t inherently bad.

What makes them bad is the feeling of guilt when you see all these issues you couldnā€™t solve or fix, and you know there will never be time for them.

~Ryan Singer ref
